Febuary 4th Blogs.

Blog#1: i see a spinning grid. It seems like there are four separate ones. Our brains can't interpret the grid because it is moving too quickly. The same thing happens with a spinning wheel.
Blog# 2:The ganzfeld procedure is when the patient is exposed to unstructured sensations. It can induce hallucinations by only exposing the patient to one type of light or sound at a time. Yes because this experiment does not require any use of unnatural chemicals or surgeries to complete, so it seems safe.
Blog#5: This experiment allowed the patients to view color as well as numbers in sync. This means that people would associate the number4 for example with the color blue.
Blog#9: I am smarter than a college student. I picked the correct answer the first time around. we see from the light coming in through rays penetrating our eyes.
Blog#6: The 2 strongest illusions are the snake illusion and hidden bird.

mom's Blog

When Jessica was pre school age, she was very independant and bossy. She was enrolled in a preschool program and I always got funny notes sent home every week. The teacher would tell me what the kids were doing and their progress. She would tell me Jessica had a lot of friends but would always want to be the boss at the "centers". She would tell the other kids what to do when they had imaginary play. She loved to play school but she was always the teacher and she would get mad at the "class" if they didn't listen to her.

One note that I received always makes me laugh when I think of it. The teacher said the kids had to walk in a line when they were outside and Jessica would always walk backwards and talk to her friends. Then sometimes she would walk into a pole on the building. The note said she was improving on her listening skills and she wasn't walking into poles as much.

Jessica still has the same personality traits, but has learned to not be so bossy. She still has trouble being too opinionated though.

Genetic Testing:
I read a blog about being tested for breast cancer genes so that you can eventually cure yourself and not have to deal with the negative consequences that come fro having cancer. There is a law against gene discrimination at work but i don't think that and jobs or insurance companies are going to be honest and non discriminatory.
Twin and family resarch
I read an article about two twins who were seperated at birth and they ended up doing everything the same in life and have similar personalities. This shows that adoptions do not always effect the children in a negative way.
Human genome project
this is a 13 year long project that wants to determne different genes and help those who have genetic mutations that could end up hurting those in their lives.
